Training Benefits Policy

Purpose:

This procedure implements the company’s policy on special training activities. The company encourages employees to take advantage of special training activities that will maintain and enhance their knowledge and skills and add to the company’s talent base. To facilitate this development, the company has developed this procedure to outline the approval process for external job-related training.

Exclusions:

This procedure excludes reimbursement for any educational assistance course work which is covered under the company’s educational assistance program, customer-sponsored training activities that are required to be provided to our employees, approved certification examinations or professional association meetings that cost less than $______. The latter requests should be processed using the Business Conference Record Form.
