He represents employers in both state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies, including the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ron also drafts, and provides advice regarding, employment,confidentiality, non-solicitation, non-compete, and trade secrets agreements. Ron counsels employers on complying with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the California Investigative Consumer Reporting Agencies Act. He also provides preventive advice to clients on personnel issues, including employee compensation and benefits, discipline and training, harassment and workplace violence investigations, and the development of policies and procedures to avoid employment claims and litigation. Ron is a frequent lecturer before trade groups, associations, and private employers on a variety of employment-related issues, including protection of trade secrets and conducting background checks. He regularly conducts in-house management seminars and training sessions for executives, supervisors, managers, and human resources professionals on all aspects of labor and employment law. Prior to joining the firm, Ron practiced business and employment litigation in Illinois for more than four years. While in law school, Ron served as an Article and Note Editor for the DePaul Business Law Journal (now known as the DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal).
